Alexaundria D. Leonard, MPS

Alexaundria Leonard, MPS is a communications and digital professional that believes in electoral politics as a pathway to social change. Her life’s mission is to use her professional skills to dismantle oppressive systems for women and black, indigenous, people of color. She uses storytelling, specifically in the digital and social space, to create data-driven communication strategies increasing accessibility to our most vulnerable populations.

Alexaundria is a product of Baltimore City Public School Systems and a proud alumna of the Baltimore City College. In 2019, she received her Masters in Political Management from the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. In 2017, she graduated from McDaniel College with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies. Her research areas include mass incarceration, prison industrial complex, and electability in presidential elections. She looks forward to building a progressive movement in Baltimore and beyond.

Alexaundria has always had an interest in government and public service since high school, serving as a page in the Maryland General Assembly. Since, she has served in numerous community and academic organizations. She is a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Gamma Chapter and currently serves with the Rho Xi Omega Chapter in Baltimore. Alexaundria is a member of the 2020 cohort of New Leaders Council Maryland Chapter, and is an active member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Woodlawn, MD. In her free time, she enjoys international travel, online shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
